ACCIONA Energy is the largest wind power developer in the world, with 200 wind farms installed or under construction, of which 4,554 MW are owned by the company.

ACCIONA IN THE US

The U.S. is a strategic country for ACCIONA, in which it will be increasing its activities in renewables in coming years. The company has installed so far three wind farms totalling 266 MW. The 180 MW Tatanka wind farm is the largest one, located in North and South Dakota.

Through ACCIONA Windpower, the company has recently opened its last wind turbine manufacturing plant in West Branch, Iowa.

In January 2008, ACCIONA Agua, the subsidiary company for water services, inaugurated the largest desalination plant in the U.S., in Tampa, Florida.
