As Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Acciona Solar Power, Mr. Points is responsible for the company’s strategic planning, financing, accounting and operating systems.

Mr. Points brings more than 37 years of experience in finance, development and construction to Acciona Solar Power, with more than 25 years of experience in senior management positions for construction-related firms. In 2003, Mr. Points joined Solargenix as Vice President – Strategic Planning. This company became ACCIONA Solar Power in 2006.

Mr. Points assisted in the Nevada Solar One plant’s strategic planning and helped secure financing for the project, which required developing a creative financing solution known as the Nevada TRED Trust. As a member of the TRED Task Force formed by Nevada’s Governor, Mr. Points was a key participant in the development and proposal of new regulations, which were unanimously passed by the PUCN in December 2004.

Prior to joining Acciona Solar Power, Mr. Points held a number of executive level positions including President & CEO of Concord Healthcare Development, and Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration, for McDevitt & Street Company. Mr. Points was co-founder and Executive Vice President of First Colony Corporation, a Charlotte, NC based developer and builder of custom homes, medical offices and office condominium projects. Additionally, Mr. Points held positions with Arthur Andersen & Co.

Mr. Points has a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from Georgia Southern University.
