Background
In 2005, ACCIONA Energy purchased a 55 percent stake in Solargenix, that had initiated the Nevada Solar One project. This company became ACCIONA Solar Power in 2006.

Acciona Solar Power designed, developed, built and operates Nevada Solar One, the first concentrated solar power plant built in the last 17 years, and the third largest plant of its kind in the world.

The Nevada Solar One plant went online in June 2007, helping to make Nevada the largest per capita producer of solar power in the United States.

ACCIONA Energy is the owner of Nevada Solar One (97.75% stake).
